VDT appoints Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer of Elusope Group

The Board of Directors of VDT Communications has appointed Mr. Steve Elusope as Chief Financial and Group Strategy Officer to help lead the organization into its next phase of growth.

Through this appointment, the VDT Board of Directors entrusts Steve Elusope with the dual strategic role of Group Chief Finance Officer and Group Chief Strategy Officer. Therefore, he is responsible for overseeing finance and accounts, business intelligence, business solutions and project monitoring. He works closely with all key group stakeholders to ensure consistent achievement of financial and non-financial business objectives.

Elusope has accumulated approximately 30 years of related professional experience in banking and finance, pension administration, technology and communications services. Prior to joining VDT, he held senior positions in various organizations for over 20 years including Executive Director at Spectranet Communications Ltd, Managing Director/Managing Director at Global Trust Savings & Loans Ltd, Financial Controller at Stanbic IBTC Bank for over five years, Director Director of Operations at Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers for over eight years and Executive Director of Operations (Nigeria) at Cimple Networks Inc, USA.

He also has skills and strategic competencies in financial control, consulting, management accounting, taxation, operational risk, IT operations, customer service, back office operations, administration and facilities management; with proven abilities in setting organizational direction, establishing corporate governance, optimizing the system, building human capacity and achieving set goals.

Elusope graduated in Accounting from Ibadan Polytechnic in 1986, Masters in Business Administration from Delta State University (DELSU), Member (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Fellow (FCIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

According to a statement from the company, which was signed by its Senior Director of Marketing Communications, Mr. David Ese, “With this appointment, Elusope will bring her wealth of experience and versatility to accelerate all facets of VDT’s growth and of the subsidiary brands towards the achievement of their corporate objectives.
