Investec Combines Planning Services in Launch of Advisory Arm
Investec Wealth & Investment has merged its financial planning and wealth planning services into a new advisory branch.
He appointed the co-managers Michelle Holgate and Sarfraz Hafeji to lead the heritage advisory business.

Holgate has been with Investec for four years, but in the industry for 17 years. She joined after working with high net worth individuals in the UK and overseas.
During this time, Hafeji worked in financial services for almost 21 years, including 17 at Investec, where he held various positions and was part of the management team.
Holgate said: “I am delighted to take on this new role alongside Saf and to continue to improve our financial planning and wealth advisory business.
“I look forward to seeing IW&I grow and evolve with the ever-changing environment in which we live and work. “
Both will assume their new roles with immediate effect.
Hafeji added, “Advice used to be about investing wealth, but now it means more than that.
“This holistic approach is absolutely crucial to Investec’s offering, and I am proud to lead this dynamic alongside Michelle. “
Elsewhere, Investec has carried out several internal promotions, including Nicola Toyer, appointed head of charities, Alex Charalambous, appointed regional director of private clients in the southern region and Stewart Teague, appointed head of business transformation and product development.
Investec released its year-end results on May 21, 2021, saying its profits rose 18% to £ 74.3million in what it called a “year in two halves”.
